This Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy applies to all purchases made through www.hamax.com.au.

Hamax Australia is operated by:
BikeChain Group Pty Ltd (ABN 65 652 475 388) trading as Hamax Australia, distributed by BikeSportz Imports Pty Ltd.

Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

1.1 Order Fulfilment

All Hamax Australia orders are fulfilled directly from BikeChain HQ, Australia.

We do not offer drop-shipping or in-store fulfilment via retailers.

1.2 Shipping Fees

  • Flat rate shipping: $15 AUD for orders under $100
  • Free shipping: Orders $100 AUD and over
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout

1.3 Dispatch Timeframes

  • In-stock items are dispatched within 1–3 business days
  • Estimated delivery times:
    • Metro locations: 1–3 business days
    • Regional / WA / QLD / NT: 5–7 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to carrier delays or external factors.

1.4 Peak Periods

During high-volume periods (including sales events and Christmas), deliveries may take 1–2 additional business days.

1.5 Pre-Order & Made-to-Order Items

Some Hamax products may be listed as Pre-Order.

  • Estimated delivery timeframes will be displayed on the product page
  • Orders containing both in-stock and pre-order items may be shipped in separate consignments, at no additional cost

1.6 Delivery Responsibility

Products are delivered to the address provided at checkout. It is your responsibility to ensure delivery details are accurate and accessible.


2. RETURNS POLICY

2.1 Change-of-Mind Returns

We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The product is unused
  • The product is in original condition
  • All original packaging, manuals, tags and accessories are included
  • The product has not been installed, assembled, or used

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

2.2 Non-Returnable Items

For safety and hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned for change of mind:

  • Products that have been installed or assembled
  • Child seats, trailers or accessories that show signs of use
  • Items marked as Final Sale
  • Clearance or discontinued products

This does not affect your ACL rights for faulty products.

2.3 Return Request Process

To request a return:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click “Submit a Request”
  2. Complete the return form accurately
  3. You will receive a confirmation email and return instructions
  4. Do not send items back without approval
  • If the item is faulty or incorrect, we will provide a prepaid return label
  • Returns received without authorisation may be delayed or rejected

2.4 Return Condition Assessment

All returned products are inspected upon receipt.

If a product does not meet return conditions:

  • We will notify you, and
  • The item may be returned to you at your cost

️ 3. WARRANTY & FAULTY PRODUCTS

3.1 Manufacturer’s Warranty

All Hamax products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty terms vary by product and are detailed in product documentation.

3.2 Warranty Claims Process

To lodge a warranty claim:

  • Submit a request using the “Submit a Request” button
  • Provide proof of purchase
  • Upload clear photos and a description of the issue
  • Additional information may be requested
  • Some products may require manufacturer assessment

3.3 Warranty Outcomes

Depending on the assessment outcome, remedies may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund

If the product does not meet warranty criteria, we will advise you of the outcome and next steps.


4. REFUNDS

  • Refunds are processed within 3 business days of approval
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method only
  • Discounted items are refunded at the net price paid
  • Financial institutions may take up to 5 business days to process funds

5. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

You are also entitled to repair or replacement if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


6. APPLICABLE LAW

This Policy is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
